Michelle Duong

Michelle graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and is our Sydney Physiotherapist as the resident physiotherapist in our satellite clinic at the Sydney Lyric Theatre where she looks after the cast and crew of “The Book of Mormon” musical.
Michelle has both sports and dance experience. Whilst in university she worked for many sporting teams and events providing taping, soft tissue work and game safety. Michelle has excellent first aid and first response skills after working with St Joseph’s College rugby, Sydney Juniors’ rugby, UNSW/ES AFL, and for various events in conjunction with Sports Medicine Australia including Shute shield, Uni Games, and various national martial arts tournaments.
With many years of personal experience in jazz, tap, contemporary, theatre, salsa and aerial circus rigs of lyra, trapeze and tissu, Michelle understands the demands of a performer and tailors her treatment to each individual’s needs. Her treatments involve a combination of manual therapies or “hands on” treatment, education, self management, exercise and injury prevention. She is currently expanding her skills set to include dry needling and complete her vocal physiotherapy training at Performance Medicine.
In her spare time Michelle enjoys dancing, rock climbing, yoga, tai chi and going to the beach.
